The Relationship of Organizational Structure and Organizational Commitment

Abstract


In nowadays competitive world, only sustainable competitive advantage of any organization, its employees, organizational commitment, organizational flexibility play a key role to success which is achieved via empowered and committed employees. Therefore, the goal of the study is to survey the relationship between organizational structure and organizational commitment. Present study is correlation-descriptive type and 182 questionnaires were distributed among employees using simple randomly sampling method. Three questionnaires were used including valid questionnaire of empowering, Frank's organizational structure dimensions. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to determine reliability coefficient of questionnaires. The data and regression were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient and SPSS software, respectively. The results indicated that there is a positive significant relationship between formalization and complexity with organizational commitment among employees, but it is not true about formalization .
