Organizational Ethics, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment of the Staff: A Study on the Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences

Abstract


The present study is carried out for the purpose of examining the relation of organizational ethics with job satisfaction and organizational commitment of the employees in Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences (in Iran). The study population consists of all permanent staff working in the University, of which 103 are selected as sample using Cochran formula. The research methodology is descriptive correlational and the questionnaires of Kadozir organizational ethics, Allen and Meyer organizational commitment, job satisfaction Minnesota are used to collect data. To assess the relationships between latent variables measured in conceptual pattern, the indices of mean and standard deviation are used. At the level of inferential statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient and simple linear regression analysis using SPSS statistical software are applied. The results of analysis of the research variables show that there is a positive and significant relationship between organizational ethics and job satisfaction while it is not associated with organizational commitment.
