Empowerment, quality of work life and job satisfaction

Abstract


The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between employee empowerment with quality of work life and job satisfaction. The study population included all employees of the General Department of Education of Hormozgan province in 2014-15 years that were studied by census method. The data collection tool in this study was job satisfaction Inventory (JDI), Walton quality of work life and Spritzer’s empowerment. Hypotheses were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and regression tests. Results of this study showed that the quality of working life is not able to explain the variance in employee empowerment but job satisfaction significantly explains 47.1 percent of the variance of employee empowerment. In general, the results showed that those cases related to the organization play a role in the employee empowerment.
