Structural Changes in the Judicial System of Iran in the First Decade of Establishing the Islamic Republic (Before the Revision of the Constitution)

Iranian judicial system has been based upon the dichotomy of tradition and religion. This dichotomy in parallel has continued and coexisted peacefully. Sometimes one has overcome the other. The Islamic Revolution occurrence also led to sweeping changes in the structure of the judicial system. Islamized judicial system means changes in the organization and structure of the judiciary, and enacting substantive, form and employment laws according to Islamic principles. This all means a fundamental change in the judicial system.
