Employee Empowerment: An Approach to Production Management

Abstract


Empowerment is a new approach for leading organizations in a competitive environment. If employees ' capabilities are not considered in Continuous improvement is when employees have the necessary information and trust in management to be able to apply their skills and abilities. There are two types of approaches to empowerment. The first approach considers empowerment by delegating decision-making power to the lower levels of the organization. The second approach considers empowerment a multifaceted concept that is defined as increasing employees' internal motivation to perform tasks. It includes the five dimensions of competence, effectiveness, meaningfulness, autonomy, and job confidence.
